From Pre- Primary to Intermediate are taught from the Cecchetti Syllabus. The Cecchetti Method of Classical Ballet is well recognised internationally and Jenny is a Licentiate of Cecchetti Ballet Australia and a member of Cecchetti International Classical Ballet. There are eleven levels in the Cecchetti Ballet syllabus, commencing with Pre-Primary, Primary and followed by six grade classes.
Three Major syllabi follow this (Intermediate, Advanced 1 and Advanced 2). Because of the increased content of exercises and set dances in the grades, bridging classes of Medals (Bronze and Silver) work may be introduced to further develop the work giving a sound foundation in your child's dance education.
KREATIVE KINDY - DANCE - DRAMA - SINGING
For 2 % to 4 years old. Each class combines gross motor movement within a thematic structure. Parents may partiCipate and encourage their child throughout the class. At the end of each lesson the children have a music section with percussion instruments and a story before taking home an activity to further develop their fine motor skills. A programme is available giving class themes and craft activities. Children in this class do not participate in the annual concert.
Classes Tuesday and Friday morning. No uniform is required for this class. Socks with rubber grips may be worn in the winter months. A great class for parents, carers or grandparents to bring children to many friendships have developed - plus its lots of fun and educational at Kreative Kindy.
SENIOR BALLET CLASS
will study the foundational movements in the Cecchetti Method of Classical Ballet in Term One progressing to the new Dance Spectrum Syllabus II when it is released in 2014
This class is for students from Grade One Ballet and higher. Each Term the students will learn a new routine in either musical theatre, modern, jazz, tribal or creative dance. This class is only available to students who attend a weekly ballet lesson. Jazz shoes are not required for Contemporary Dance One until the beginning of Term Two. Jazz shoes are required from the beginning of Term One in Contemporary Dance Two and higher levels. All Contemporary Dance classes are scheduled on the day of the ballet
BUDDING BALLERINAS (formerly TINY TOTS BALLET)
An introduction to the world of dance for 3-5 years of age. The class commences with a series of warm-ups and arm movements followed by fairy runs, skips, gallops, marches, walks, nursery rhymes, a mime section and a special dance with a doll. Classes Tuesday and Friday morning. Please bring your favourite doll or teddy each week to class
